Project Description
The monthly magazine dedicated to boys and girls Internazionale Kids, born from the weekly magazine Internazionale, turned into a festival and returns for the second time to Reggio Emilia, for three days of meetings, workshops and exhibitions. After collaborating with Internazionale in the 2017, 2018 and 2019 editions of the Ferrara Festival and sponsoring, also in 2019, the event “Three things to know about immigration” in Rome, the Pianoterra Foundation supported the 2022 edition of the Internazionale Kids Festival in Reggio Emilia. The partnership between the Pianoterra Foundation and the International is furtherly strengthened, once again materializing in the co-construction of opportunities in which culture and art become tools for individual and collective growth and emancipation.
It is with this intention that the Foundation presents the KENE project in Reggio Emilia, a photographic laboratory conceived and created by the photographer of Ivorian origins Mohamed Keita and aimed at children and teenagers who live in the Kanadjiguila district, a western suburb of Bamako, in Mali. The Foundation has been supporting KENE since its creation, in 2015: in Reggio Emilia this support translates into various events included in the festival calendar.
The Foundation also supports the realization of the meeting “RIGHTS In other words”, with Fabrizio Acanfora, dedicated to the words we use in building the reality that surrounds us.
