Project Description
SHKEJ is an Albanian NGO that promotes human rights and social integration of people and communities at risk of exclusion. Its interventions are based on the model of community center, a hub aimed at supporting families and offering different kinds of services, first of all educational ones.
In particular, it develops early intervention programs for vulnerable families from minorities at risk of marginalization with small children, setting up accompanying paths to reinforce parental skills and build positive interactions between children and their caregivers.
The Pianoterra Foundation has supported SHKEJ since 2021, contributing to the implementation of its early intervention programs for pregnant women and children up to 2 years old belonging to the Roma community of Tirana.
